San Marino NCL Debutantes Shine at Millennium Luncheon
San Marino Area Chapter of National Charity League hosted a June 23 presentation luncheon at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles. Over 500 Patronesses and guests watched 34 young ladies presented with their mothers amid English garden decor by Jacob Maarse. The event, themed Bloom and Grow Forever, previews the December Debutante Ball and highlights each girl’s NCL achievements and high school activities.

Veterans Asked to Step Forward for VIP Recognition
A citizen project in San Marino plans to identify photograph and film local veterans with three fall sessions at the Thunder House in Lacy Park on September 14 October 11 and November 3. Veterans should reserve via Marypat Pefia at (818) 954 7807. Sessions run 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Each veteran completes an information sheet poses for a still photo and provides an oral history. A final group portrait will be taken at the San Marino War Memorial in Lacy Park on Veterans Day Monday November 11.

Stoneman School site eyed for a new community center
