Suzy Crowell of San Marino will receive the 2002 Distinguished Citizen Award from the San Gabriel Valley Council of the Boy Scouts of America. The event, held at the Lin residence gardens, runs 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. with a 6:45 p.m. presentation by Paul Lee Crowell.
Former San Marino resident Stephen Schlanser designed a glass donor wall to honor community contributors to the Schools Foundation Race to the Finish campaign. The wall will be a centerpiece at the high school as the district supports classrooms with desks science equipment computers and arts materials.
