Campbell named director of marketing for California economy
John David A Ian Campbell is appointed director of marketing and communications for the California Department of Economic and Business Development. At 29 he will oversee messaging to attract job creating investment for the Deukmejian administration. A 1971 Pomona College magna cum laude graduate with degrees from Occidental College and Pomona, he has worked as a journalist and political writer and was a CORO Fellow. He was the national high school champion in impromptu speaking in 1971.
