Dr Gertrude Laws To Lead Parental Education Talks
Dr Gertrude Laws assistant chief of Parental Education at the State Department of Education will deliver six lectures on The Problems of Human Ad justment for certified and lay leaders and other training in parental education. Van De Kamp's Bakery Robbery Reported on Huntington Drive
Saturday evening a masked bandit entered Van de Kamp's Bakery at Huntington Drive and Chelsea, threatened the female attendant with a revolver, and stole about $50 from the till. Described as a bulky middle aged man in a dark grey suit, he fled after crossing the Pacific Electric tracks and boarding a car. San Marino police were alerted but no suspect has been found.

Burglary Strikes Prominent Home on Old Mill Road
Sunday evening burglars broke into the home of Harry A. Tubbs at 910 Old Mill Road, loot valued in the thousands missing due to the owners being away on a hunting trip. A Japanese servant reported his quarters were ransacked and $16 stolen from his clothing. The same burglars are suspected in a similar break in at 1633 Banning Way, where loss amount is undetermined.

Boy Scouts Plan Night With Reeds At Huntington
Troop 2 of the Boy Scouts will hold an annual play night next Tuesday at Huntington school playgrounds. Scouts will submit three written ideas for future meetings. They will discuss new games and troop programs from Camp Cherry Valley and visit the Reeds on Monterey road September 18.
