In San Marino on Tuesday 60 percent of registered voters participated. Bob Shuler led his ticket with 250 votes while Senator Shortridge attracted 3847. Frederick Houser beat Theodore Stearns 494 to 378. Assembly race saw Latham top with 230 and Peters noted on the Democratic line. Judge Walton J. Wood won decisively for county offices. Troop 2 Boy Scouts Return From Catalina Camp
Twenty happy scouts from Troop 2 returned from their fifth camp at Cherry Valley Catalina Island with sun tans and broad smiles. Three more scouts attended the camp. San Marino boys joined Apache troop and impressed with lively campfire programs. Twenty three scouts passed tests. several advanced to second and first class, some earned Star and merit badges toward Eagle. Reginal Vesty advanced to chief in the Tribe of Tor.

Celebrated horse Snowball performs for San Marino children
In a private Saturday display Mr. H W Stowe showcased Snowball, aka Sheik, performing number work color selection and contortion with kneeling and a headstand. Attended by Mr and Mrs Frank Leeper and a few friends, the act was famed on the Orpheum Circuit. Stowe plans a future public exhibition near The Tribune office for local children, with notices to follow.
