San Marino study session on building code amendments
San Marino City Council will hold a Friday morning study session on November 30 at 7:00 a.m. in the emergency operations center to discuss local amendments to the 2007 California Building Code and related codes. The proposal includes electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and fire code changes aimed at safety, with a fire sprinkler requirement for new residential units. Copies of the ordinance are available at City Hall Planning and Building Department and from City Clerk Carol Robb.

Lady Titans Open Season With 59-30 Win Over San Gabriel
Senior Nicole Chan scored 15 as the Lady Titans beat San Gabriel 59-30 in the season opener. Freshmen Remi Kohno Erika Oshino and Kelsey Buckner led the youth movement with 11 6 and 4 points respectively and Buckner grabbed seven rebounds. The team previously beat Whittier Christian 39-17 to open San Gabriel Valley Invitational action hosted by San Marino with Lauren Oshiro and Christine Law adding six each. Senior Kimi Silverstein has started the first two games. The Lady Titans play on through the tournament to Saturday.
