City Commemorates Three Civic Improvements Ceremony
San Marino residents officials and volunteers celebrated enhancements to three city landmarks on May 20. The event honored the library landscaping the El Molino Viejo Wall and the Lacy Park Rose Arbor with a two hour program led by ex mayor Suzanne Crowell and featuring speeches from County Supervisor Michael Antonovich state and local representatives. Brownie Troop 450 opened with a flag ceremony and pledge. Kathy Fiscus memorial plaque was moved near the library children’s room.

Huntington Library expands the Virginia Steele Scott Gallery of American Art with a chronology based layout after a ten year run. Curator Amy Meyers oversaw repainting lighting updates and reinstallation of portraits history paintings furniture silver and sculptures. A special exhibition of Scott Gallery American drawings runs through Aug 7 dedicated to Charles Newton former Scott Foundation president.

Fun Festival Set June 4 In Huntington Dr Event
Businesses on Huntington Drive host the first annual Fun Festival on Saturday June 4 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event features Bubbles the Clown and Uncle Joeie the balloon man, face painting, a flower cart, balloons, popcorn, a coffee cart, and refreshments. Music by San Marino Dads Band and Bruce Dustman's Le Truveaux Delta Band. Margie's and Damon's offer an informal modeling presentation. All shops remain open inviting residents to a day of shopping and fun.
