Explorer Scout Lee Magnolia Earns Eagle at Court of Honor
Lee Magnolia, son of Mr and Mrs Lou Magnolia, received the Eagle Scout Award at the final Court of Honor of the school year held in the Huntington School auditorium. He joined Troop 4 in 1946 and advanced through ranks to Life in 1948. The event featured presentations by Tom Batson and John Clay, with Eagle Palm awarded to Jack Carrington.

Mitchell captured 1500 total votes for the High School Board, Hartzell 650, Henderson 619, while Treuer won the Elementary seat with 825 votes over Stay 233. James A Carter vice president of Security First National Bank died Saturday at St Luke's Hospital Pasadena after a heart attack. He was 58 a Santaquin Utah native who held diverse roles from railroad call boy to banker and served in World War I earning commissions. He led dairy farming programs to help Rocky Mountain communities and later managed California banking interests.
