San Marino Garden Club Organizes First Meeting
Enthusiasm ran high at the first San Marino Garden Club gathering held Tuesday morning at Mrs. Roy F. Ensigns home with about 100 attendees. William E. Hertrich Huntington Estates superintendent spoke on plant varieties and Mrs. Maria Wilkes Los Angeles Garden Club president advised on organizing. Officers elected include Mrs. Wilber Thomas.

Hobby Fair at Junior High Opens with Show Boat and Pets
The Hobby Fair at South Pasadena-San Marino Junior High starts at 2:30 and runs to 9:30 with about 300 hobby exhibits and a pet show. Three Show Boat performances feature a cast of 100 in the auditorium. Concessions are available and a cafeteria style family dinner is served from 5:30 to 7:30. Series of Minor Accidents Reported in San Marino
Over the past ten days San Marino saw a string of minor car crashes with injuries. The first incident occurred on Huntington Drive near West Drive at Palmas station, involving F. A. Kibble of 2617 South Gladys Street. A second crash on Huntington near Granada involved Robert M. Young of Los Angeles colliding with John Curran of Alhambra after Curran’s car was rear-ended. Ray Jensen Recovers From Fractured Skull After Collision
Ray Jensen son of Mr and Mrs Alma Jensen and a Cal Tech junior was injured in a practice football collision with a teammate. He was taken to Pasadena Hospital for treatment of a fractured cranium but is now able to be about. Dr Earl E Kinzer treated him and friends celebrate his recovery.
