San Marino Varsity Baseball Clinches Rio Hondo League Title
San Marino High School completes a 12-3 league record by sweeping May games. May 11 saw 11-5 win over La Cañada with pitcher Josh Oder and key hits from Jon Imlay. May 12 featured Ryan Johnson’s 14 innings of near flawless pitching in a 13-1 win over Temple City. Final regular season 21-3 win against Blair Vikings included a grand slam in the first inning. CIF 2A playoff opener is set for May 26 at San Marino against Cantwell or St Anthony.

San Marino High School students attended a self-defense talk by Andre Salvage and Thaddeus Luster focusing on rape prevention. The program stressed internal and external awareness, assertiveness, intuition, and nonphysical strategies, noting most assaults can be prevented through confidence and clear boundary setting.
