Anne Kennedy was appointed director of the Wellness Community. She holds an MS in biostatistics from USC and an MBA from UCLA Anderson. Kennedy's career includes roles at the Children's Cancer Study Group and Institute of Biological Research and Development. She is married to Dr. Peter S. Kennedy and serves on boards in San Marino.

Recreation Department Session Opens June 25
The Recreation Department announces a summer program starting June 25 offering six week Water Polo for grades 6-12, Tsunamis Swim Team basketball for grades 6-12, softball for girls grades 6-12, and volleyball for boys and girls. Five weeks of art for grades 1-5, drill team for girls grades 4-8, ballet and tap for ages 7-4, pre-ballet and tap for ages 3-6, and jazz dance for ages 7-14.

San Marino Swim Team nets third straight CIF crown
San Marino Varsity Boys Swim Team won its third consecutive Division 3A CIF Championship on May 12, scoring 237 points to top South Pasadena 130 and Damien 126. Suspected forgers arrested at Pacific Bank San Marino
Four suspects were arrested Monday in San Marino after a bank employee flagged a fake check at Pacific Bank on Huntington Drive. Police say three suspects were taken into custody inside the bank and a fourth was found in an alley nearby with Pasadena Police helicopter aid. Forgery carries a 2 to 5 year sentence.

San Marino Library Book Fair Saturday May 19
Friends of the San Marino Public Library host an annual Book Fair with a large sale of vinyl records, classical and popular titles, and thousands of donated books. City Librarian Carolyn Crain notes vinyl is declining, with proceeds supporting the library.
