The Swedish Club of Los Angeles honored William B. McKesson of San Marino at its regular bimonthly meeting held last Friday night at Eaton's in Arcadia. More than 100 members and guests attended as officers praised his work since taking over as District Attorney of Los Angeles County and pledged support for his future program.
The residence of Mrs. Ruth F. Miller on Circle Drive was entered by forcing a balcony window. Five fifths of liquor and a record player vanished, valued at $100.

Joan Lundberg, senior harp major at the University of Redlands, will perform a senior recital May 17 at 8 15 p m in Watchorn Hall. She studied with Ryoko Katena and will be joined by a pianist and string contemporaries for a program including Renie and Ibert works.
Principal William Higman announced that San Marino High School earned immediate accreditation from the University of California. Normally granted after three graduating classes, the school has only one class to date.
San Marino District Attorney William B McKesson will speak at the first monthly evening meeting of the San Marino Business and Professional Association held in the Marino House on Thursday May 23. BPA president Jerry Bowman said reservations were being taken for the event, which replaces the former breakfast meetings.

Jim Connelly son of Mr and Mrs Jack J Connelly of Adair street was elected student body president of San Marino High School for the 1957 58 term Tuesday. He won a majority of the 850 votes. Pat Cushman named vice president and Linda Johnson secretary. Dave Bryan chosen treasurer with Carol Godfrey social chairman and Margie Garrar historian. A runoff between Phil Miller and Brock Robertson for athletic commissioner was held Wednesday.

Neher auditorium with the Girls Glee Club Chorus Titan Tones and Mello Men under Miss Mary Kincheloe. the second part features an award winning band directed by Charles Costarella with student conductor Robert Chaney. James McDonald, a San Marino High School senior, received a watch from Albert J. Chalk Jr. on behalf of the Exchange Club of San Marino for being named Outstanding Boy of the Year. He earned letters in football basketball and baseball, was a Boys State delegate, and serves as student body president.
