Tom Schmidt won the Most Valuable Swimmer trophy at San Marino High School’s annual awards banquet held last Thursday at the South Pasadena San Marino YMCA. Schmidt set four Rio Hondo league records and was a CIF finalist in the 200 and 400 yard freestyles. Jamie McReynolds earned Most Valuable Bee honors, with John Wendeland a CIF finalist earning MV for the Cees.

Council Aims To Cut Fat From City Budget
The City Council schedules five study sessions for fiscal 1971-72 to trim the budget and avoid a tax increase.
