Book Fair at SM Library Saturday Highlights Collectors Corner
The Friends of the San Marino Public Library host a Saturday book fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with donated and library-selected books across fiction nonfiction hard cover and paperback. Children’s books rare sets and special titles will be on offer plus a silent auction featuring a 1902 edition of An Old Sweetheart of Mine and a 1929 Little Folks of Other Lands.

Westridge School to Receive NBC4 WeatherNet Site
NBC4 selected Westridge Schools to receive an NBC4 WeatherNet site a real time weather station with equipment software and teaching materials. Underwritten by ARCO the program covers 50 Southland sites with access to up to date data and 1400 other sites nationwide. Christopher Nance Fritz Coleman will inaugurate the site with live weathercasts and demonstrations during the 11 am mid day report and Channel 4 News 4 5 and 6 pm.

Huntington Students Enter Egg Drop Challenge at Foothill League
Huntington School hosts an egg drop contest with no size limits using permitted materials only. Entries were tested from 19 feet in the auditorium before being moved to the Pasadena City Hall structure for final height tests. Six cars carried 19 students and six teams to Clifton where a fire truck hoisted devices to 70 feet for judging.
