Summer Playground Dates Told for Special One Month
At a Play Ground Commission meeting on Monday a special summer program was approved from June 30 to August 1. It runs five mornings weekly, 9 to 12, for fourth through junior high students, with a five-person staff and existing Ray Bryce and Bill Rennison on site year round. A San Marino model home at 2444 Sherwood Road, built by Fred A. Stewart and furnished by J. H. Biggar Coin, earned an unusual compliment from a child visitor who left a well-loved rag doll atop a bedroom bed. L. A. Matthews Jr. found the doll and arranged for its owner to claim it at the Tribune office after the home closed on Sunday.
