Local men rescued from burning ketch off Ensenada
Berk Kellogg and Gaylord McKenzie were among seven crew and passengers rescued from the 77 foot ketch Maaroufe owned by John S. Griffith after a diesel engine blaze caused the vessel to sink about 20 miles north of the Todos Santos Islands. Coast Guard cutters joined the rescue but the yacht sank late Sunday.
