Not Guilty Verdicts For Bakery Men In $100000 Suit
In Los Angeles County Superior Court on Tuesday two bread wagon drivers J W Gressinger and Alfred Widdowson and their employing company were found not guilty in a $100,000 damage suit filed by Mrs. Margaret Ann Lawton of 1662 Lorain Road. The case alleged the drivers twisted her left arm to verify an itemized account statement. A deadlocked jury previously tied up a related trial in Alhambra township last week.

A San Marino meeting at 1060 Roanoke Tuesday at 7 30 pm will plan La Fiesta de San Mario set for June 8 on Huntington School grounds. Civic groups including two PTAs, American Legion, Boy and Girl Scouts, Camp Firs Girls, Auxiliary, and City Club will participate with Kinderband and School Orchestra providing entertainment. San Marinans mourn Alfred L duPont following news of his death in Jacksonville Florida. He was buried at Nemours near Wilmington Delaware after plans for a Florida visit with wife Amy duPont and son William at the Huntington Hotel this summer. He was famed philanthropist and national figure.

Wall Fire at C. W. Forsythe Home
San Marino firefighters under Fire Chief C Copley fought a wall fire at Clyde Forsythe’s 1449 St Albans Road home for about two and a half hours. Fire damage was in the living room near the fireplace and plaster had to be torn out to reach the flames. Estimated damage about 150 dollars.
