Mrs E C Harwood of San Marino leads a movement by Pasadena Altadena South Pasadena and San Marino garden enthusiasts to plant a flowering tree on every lot in 1934. The campaign will start March 31 by planting one tree and seeks homeowner support. They cite beauty of flowering cherries crabs peaches and almonds along local streets as motivation. Educators Meet in San Marino and Pasadena Saturday
The Association of Colleges and Universities of the Pacific Southwest will hold its twelfth annual meeting at the Huntington Library and the California Institute of Technology. About 100 delegates from regional colleges will attend with speakers including Dr. Ray Lyman Wilbur of Stanford and Dr. Henry Pritchett of the Carnegie Foundation. The program opens with a morning social and library viewings, lunch at Cal Tech, and addresses by the guests of honor.
