Services For Overton To Be Held Friday
Funeral services for Walter A. Overton who died at his home in Arcadia will be held Friday at 2 PM from Glasser and Miller funeral chapel in Arcadia. Overton formerly headed the Overton Foundry in South Gate and had lived in San Marino the last eight years. He is survived by his wife Jetta M two daughters Marie Spencer and Margaret Dobbings and two grandchildren plus two brothers and five sisters. Death was due to a heart attack after a car incident at his home earlier that morning. He was a member of the Arcadia Lodge F and A M. born in Atlanta Georgia.

Services Held For Victim Of Drowning
The Church of the Recessional in Forest La hosted services for six year old Ro Henry Timmerman son of Henry J and Mrs Timmerman of 1530 Van Dyke Rd. Rev Bertrand Crist officiated as Masses of flowers expressed sympathy. Ro died after drowning in a pool at Dr and Mrs Glenn Dollingers home 2915 Lorain Rd when a sailboat broke loose and Ro and friend Jimmy Miles climbed over a wall. Dennis Timmerman Ro’s brother aided by Miss Mary Benvitez and Mrs Franklin Nelson attempted rescue but Ro died an hour later per Dr E W Bulley. Police Chief Glenn McClung urged fenced and supervised pools to prevent such tragedies.
