Bishop W Bertrand Stevens announced the new San Marino Episcopal church will be The Mission of St Edmund the Martyr located at 1175 San Gabriel Boulevard. Rev William Cowans, formerly of Trinity Redlands, is named rector. Construction at $10,000 proceeds, with duties to begin after Easter.

The San Marino Cub Pack No 1 marked its first birthday at Huntington School with 139 Cub Scouts in blue and gold, about 200 guests, and a total membership of 150. Pack founder Maurice Jones was praised for leading the growth, while E C Tapfer opened the dinner and presented Jones a scrapbook as Mrs Rudolph M Gunzel received thanks for publicity work.
