Pulitzer Prize winning historian Mark E. Neely Jr. will discuss Abraham Lincoln as a literary figure in a free public lecture at the Huntington Library Friends Hall on Thursday March 31 at 7 30 p m. Little League Reschedules Opening Day Ceremonies

Three San Marino Firemen Honored for Dedication
At the March 9 City Council meeting San Marino firefighters Chuck Murchie Frank Medlock and Richard Meyer received plaques from Police Fire Chief Frank Wills for repairing a water pump on a city fire truck in five to six weeks on their own time. Wills praised their commitment and initiative noting the project saved the city about $10,000 on the pump and $1,000 monthly in maintenance costs.
