A Sunday night crash at the intersection of Virginia road and Huntington drive involved San Marinan Frederick R. Parker of Alpine road. Passengers Clana Asbury and Rosa De Ward were treated after the Phike auto was demolished. Parker sustained leg injuries and lacerations, taken to Alhambra Clinic. Boy Scouts Plan April May Activities After Camp Blue Ridge
Ten officers from Troop 2 spent a weekend at Camp Blue Ridge and outlined their April and May program. The troop will hold its troop camporee at Switzer Camp and march toward council finals in May. An A standard advances to regional finals at Griffith Park on June 2 and 8. Two trips to Boulder Dam are planned with half in April and half in May. The Tiger patrol led last Tuesday’s meeting to discuss the upcoming camporee.

Woman's shoes draw police suspicion in burglary case
Chief Parker and Officer Archer spotted a man wearing size seven ladies black patent leather pumps in a parked car at Santa Anita and Orlando road. They found his own shoes in the rear of the vehicle and detained him at police headquarters for suspicion of robbery. The officers believed the man may be the burglar sought by authorities.

In the Huntington Library and Gardens, the Chinese fringe-tree, Chionanthus retusa, blooms with dense white fringe flowers.
