The San Marino elementary district owns 40.37 acres including 18.56 for a high school site. Appraisers value property, noting total expenditures of $256,298 from 1917 to 1928 for parcels around Huntington Drive and Virginia Road. Values per acre rose from about $2,500 to $7,935, with additions and a 40 by 200 foot driveway totaling $5,000.
Pasadena Community Chest leaders met with San Marino Welfare Council and Boy Scout mothers to discuss fund distribution and cooperation. They pledged wider San Marino financing power for youth work while maintaining rules against capital expenses. A late note lists attendees including Franklin Thomas and Mrs. Hixon from Pasadena and Mrs. A Sears from San Marino.
