Harlan G Mills chairman of the city recreation commission submitted a written report on supervised play for San Marino children. The council read discussed and filed the report at the March meeting noting an estimated annual cost of 1500 dollars.
The San Marino Community Scout Committee held its bi monthly meeting on March 12 at the Scout cabin. Pal mer Conner resigned as chairman. Chesney W. Carver elected chairman with Cornell as first vice chairman and Carleton Tibbetts as second vice chairman. Reports from waricc activities directors were presented.
Plans are moving forward for a great day in San Marino on June 8. The program will be for all ages with formal events dismissed and the main dress of the day for dignified lawyers and business men, an old blue shirt and permit. P T A s of Huntington and Stoneman Schools sponsor the day and cooperate with Boy Scouts Girl Scouts Camp Fire Girls American Legion City Club San Marino Community Chorus and San Marino Players.

John H Ramboz San Marinos district representative fuels enthusiasm as two tunnels near Pasadena and Monrovia indicate major tunneling underway. Whitsett reports the project is on track to complete on schedule.
Huntington P T A members announce Fathers Night on Friday March 29 at South Pasadena High School. James L. Beebe leads the show with choreographed antics by 22 fathers in costumes, promising a lively, secret program that aims to entertain and delight the audience.
