Public Library Growth Shown Since Opening in San Marino
Observing Library Week the San Marino Public Library reports steady growth since the December 3 opening. New adult and youth cards total 313 and 159 respectively while book circulation rises. January 1952 shows an overall gain of 2 545 books over 1951 and February up 3 329 books. 417 new adult and 219 new children’s books were added in January and February. John V. Spielman of 2345 Adair Street was seriously injured February 29 in a three car collision just west of Pomona. He was moved from Pomona Valley Hospital to Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles and is recovering slowly from critical injuries. visitors may be restricted as family reports.
