South Pasadena San Marino YMCA surpassed its $42,000 campaign goal on Victory Night, the first time in seven years. At the February meeting the city s Substance Abuse Committee moved to establish Parent Alert of San Marino as the advisory arm addressing adolescent drug and alcohol abuse. The organization mirrors Arcadia s model with a speakers bureau and hotline. Tim Hoover urged values education from kindergarten to twelfth grade and educators and parents education. Appointed officers include co chairs Darslyn and Bud Bare and local liaisons and staff named.

Calendar Set For 1982 83 In San Marino Schools
Assistant superintendent Terry Dellinger told the school board the 1982 83 budget process will take over four months, starting with a late April administrator meeting and ending September 10 with final board approval. A May 2 preliminary budget will be presented, and a public hearing will precede September 10. The district plans to publish an abbreviated budget in the San Marino Tribune.
