Army and Navy Meet Here In Auto Accident
Last Friday night a station wagon driven by Pvt. Arthur R. Kmerick from Camp Santa Anita collided with a Navy auto from the U S Naval Air Station at Terminal Island at Wilson avenue and Huntington drive. The crash damaged both vehicles and caused minor injuries to Kmerick Hanenberg and Beard with lacerations and slight bruising. Police say the Kmerick car lights were off at impact.

Minton Cronkite chief air raid warden announced that the civilian defense has released a new gas mask type to replace current ones. Local war wardens are asked to return old masks to the police station to obtain the new model.

Youth Problems To Be Topic For City Club

Lt. Stumm Home From Overseas After Combat Missions
First Lt. John B. Stumm returns from overseas service of more than a year and rests at his parents home at 2175 Chaucer Road. He has a 20 day leave before resuming active duty after completing 40 combat missions as a San Marino pilot. He is known for the remark “If you walk away from it it’s a landing.”

Services Held For Will Cole
Funeral services were held Saturday at Turner and Stevens in Pasadena for Will A. Cole of 2105 Ashborne Drive California native from Sibley Missouri. He died Wednesday March 1 and was entombed at Sunnyside Mausoleum Long Beach. Survived by wife Myrtle and four daughters Stewart Jones Graves Corvaley and Ervin.

Stoneman School pupils purchased $432.35 in stamps and $8543.75 in bonds, totaling $8976.10, with full teacher participation. The "Triple Threat" jeep campaign ended December 7 with $1395.20 in stamps and bonds, enough to buy two army jeeps, four navy quacks, and one air force Grasshopper.

Father Frolics of Forty Four Dads Stage Benign San Marino Show
San Marino fathers presented the annual Father Frolics of Forty-Four last Friday and Saturday to benefit Huntington Valentine associations.
