City Officials File Re election Petitions for April Poll

City council members and a treasurer filed petitions for reelection ahead of the April municipal election with a March 9 noon deadline. Names on Lacy Tibbetts and Dickey petitions include multiple local residents, while Kerr already filed for city clerk and is supported by a broad list of signers.

Guild Festival Tickets To Be Distributed

Edna F Brainerd reports San Marino Woman's Club to distribute tickets for the Guild Festival on April 12 from 3 30 PM to close of drama guild plays. February 29 meeting formed plans for the miscellaneous booth and a painting project. First ticket distribution occurs at the Literature Guild meeting March 11 and the Huntington School auditorium March 20 with prices of 1.00 and 75 cents.

Car Crash On Huntington Injures Two Drivers

Slight injuries were suffered by James T. Van Horn of South Pasadena when his car collided with Isa Oblath of Los Angeles on Huntington drive. Jack Tyrell of South Pasadena, a passenger in the Van Horn car, was unhurt. Louis J. Ardahl of South Pasadena had his car damaged Friday while backing from 579 Huntington drive and another vehicle struck his car, propelling it across the P. E. tracks. The fleeing driver left the scene. ownership was established by tracing license plates.

San Marino Girl Scout Father Daughter Dinner Held

The San Marino Girl Scout Father Daughter banquet marks the 28th year with 6:15 pm March 12 in Huntington School gym. National president Mrs. Harvey Mudd and local officials including Mayor Richard Lacy attend along with school and community leaders.
