The father of a San Marino resident Louis L. Hoyle of 1089 East Howard Street Pasadena died March 1 1958. Interment was at Mountain View Cemetery. A native of Ohio he had lived in the area 40 years. Survived by widow Mabel Hoyle of Pasadena one son Louis W. Hoyle of Homed and two sisters Mrs Edith Smith and Mrs Marie Kendall both of Pasadena.

Los Angeles youth eludes police in high speed chase
A Los Angeles youth sped along Huntington drive at 90 to 100 mph evading San Marino and Arcadia officers late Friday night. After a collision stopped his car over a mile from a farm, he was captured and jailed in Pasadena.

Last week the San Marino Red Cross held its largest blood bank since the Korean conflict with 194 donors, 23 rejected, 171 pints sent to Los Angeles for processing. Mrs. Fred Garrison notes the need for funds to carry on Red Cross work, with $5.51 to process each pint and $14 million yearly national blood services cost.

McDonald Store Burglary Nets $6800 In Cameras
A midnight burglary at the McDonald camera store on Huntington Drive netted about $6800 in high priced cameras with the thieves breaking in through the back and leaving display cases ransacked. Two Arrests Linked to McDonald Camera Shop Robbery

Officials completed an inventory after a store reported 46 missing items. A previous robbery on February 26 at Seaside service station 2555 Huntington Drive saw thieves steal eight tires worth 244.88 dollars after forcing a heavy duty lock. Police say the McDonald camera store robbery was the first in San Marino's commercial district in 18 months.
