At 2 15 yesterday Gus Riedlin sought nomination papers for Earl W Beebe of 2325 Lorain road who could not reach City Hall. Filing closes at noon today and if Beebe runs it would mark San Marinos first council contest with incumbents Howard Miller and Preston Hotchkis seeking re election and no obvious opposition yet. In a potential three cornered race the top two vote getters will win.

Dr McLean Dies After Long Dental Career in Arcadia
Dr David W. McLean a longtime Arcadia dentist died Monday from an ailment. Survived by wife Hazel and two daughters, he practiced in Los Angeles and Arcadia after studying at New York University College of Dentistry. He held leadership roles in multiple dental societies and was active in Kiwanis. Red Cross volunteers in San Marino prepared mailings to support the 1954 drive, linking local relief to the Vicksburg flood disaster.

Judges Report On Size Of Court In Los Angeles

Youngster Breaks Leg in Fall From Tree on Del Mar School Property
John Butler an eight year old boy of 2464 Adair was injured Sunday when he fell from a tree on Del Mar school property. He suffered a fractured leg and was taken to Huntington Memorial Hospital before being transferred to Physicians and Surgeons Hospital in Glendale for further treatment.
