Armed Robber Strikes Twice On Same Block
Two San Marino residents on Roxbury Road were robbed at gunpoint within two weeks by a suspect described as talkative. In the first incident a woman was robbed of about $68 at her front door on February 19. The second involved a couple in bed who were tied with a phone cord after entry via an unlocked back door. cash taken totaled $36. Police link the two crimes to the same man, who wore a blue cap and carried a small blue steel handgun. A separate daytime sexual assault at San Marino High School involved a 17-year-old student exposed, described as matching the same suspect. Investigators noted prior nude appearances on campus over the past year. A bank theft also cited 9400 in checks stolen from Morgan Realty, with forged checks clearing at an Inglewood Security Pacific Bank.
