Local Students Attend Foreign Affairs Seminar
Two San Marino High School juniors Natalie Box and Andrea Pou joined about 900 students from around the world at a World Affairs Seminar in Whitewater Wisconsin. Sponsored by the San Marino Rotary Club they heard speakers on Nuclear Arms Control Middle East World Politics and Human Rights. The final day featured a general discussion and the students later spoke at the Rotary luncheon recounting their impressions and noting severe weather including a tornado watch during their Wisconsin trip.

Johnson Selected Hopes for San Marino 4th of July
Johnson Selected outlines a San Marino Chamber of Commerce July 4 celebration at Lacy Park with softball, parade, picnic, games, and a fireworks finale. Forms available at schools city hall library and district office. Swimmers may enter five events each with a best time. Time tests at high school pool 2 4 pm tomorrow. Entry fee 1 per event. Meet starts 9 am with warm ups 8 am. Locker rooms concession open. high point trophies awarded 1st through 4th on point totals. Age group set by swimmer age on meet date. Pool open daily 2 5 pm for recreational swimming.
