Two Small Fires Reported but Cause No Damage
Two small fires were reported last Tuesday and extinguished quickly with no damage. The first occurred at 10 20 in the rear of 1220 Lorain road where weeds burned along an old railroad right of way. A second blaze in a vacant lot on Ridgeway 2400 block was put out with a garden hose before fire apparatus arrived.

Death Takes Mrs Cronkhite in California
Ruth Minton Cronkhite a San Marino resident for 20 years and later of Rancho Santa Fe died June 19 in California. She was Brooklyn born widow of Elisha P. Cronkhite. Services were held at Webb Chapel Pasadena with Dr. John F. Scott presiding. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery Brooklyn. Survived by sons Minton Cronkhite Rancho Santa Fe and Gordon Cronkhite Pasadena, daughter Anna C. Ely Greenwich Connecticut, nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Break Ground For Modern Business Block
Ground was broken last Monday for a new business block at 2152 56 Huntington Drive. Death of S. Gee Lowe Mourned by Friends and Lodge
Funeral services for S. Gee Lowe of 2423 Sherwood Road are set for 2 30 PM at the Church of the Recessional in Forest Lawn.
