Community churches across San Marino and South Pasadena announce Sunday worship at 10 a.m. with inclusive services, youth programs, and childcare. Inez Parsons Egan dies in San Marino at 72
Inez Parsons Egan died at home in San Marino on June 12, 2002. She is survived by daughters Marie Cummings and Kelly Egan, brother Earl Parsons, and granddaughters Lindsey Brock and Sofie Egan. Born in Huntley, Montana, she moved to San Marino in 1954 with husband Neil, who died in 1964. Funeral services were held at SS Felicitas and Perpetua with interment at Rose Hills. Donations to charity preferred. Cabot & Sons, Pasadena Directors.

John B Norberg longtime CPA and community leader dies
John Burnett Norberg died in San Marino on June 13 2002. He was born September 14 1912 in Hastings Nebraska the first of three sons to Fred Burnett Norberg and Florence Jones. He married Margaret Ellen Burke Knorr November 12 1932 in Breckenridge Colorado. A University of Denver alum he moved to Los Angeles in 1938 and later to San Marino in 1944. Norberg served as CPA and held leadership roles in the National Association of Accountants now IMA the LA Chapter California CPA Society IMA national vice president and led the Stuart Cameron McLeod Society. He supported Idyllwild Arts Academy for about 50 years and chaired Northrop University board. He earned an honorary Doctor of Laws in 1984. After Margaret’s death he married Lucille Wolverton in 1988. Survived by three children five grandchildren three great grandchildren and a stepdaughter he was remembered as generous patient and mentoring. A memorial service is set for 2 p.m. Thursday June 27 at San Marino Community Church. Memorial gifts may go to Idyllwild Arts Academy or San Marino Community Church.

Marion Gene Vincenti a longtime Pasadena resident died June 3 2002 at age 99 Memorial services were held June 12 at Mountain View Mortuary Altadena Born in Denver 1902 she came to Pasadena in 1906 and acted at the Pasadena Playhouse in the 1920s She traveled widely swam in every ocean and supported institutions including the Boy Scouts of America and Caltech She was affiliated with Caltechs President's Circle Valley Hunt Club Tournament of Roses Association and First Church of Christ Scientists in San Marino She led local clubs served as Pasadena PTA president and taught Ikebana flower arranging in Japan and across California and the Western states.
