Fire sweeps Oak Knoll Pharmacy. Scouts aid city responders
Sunday night a rear prescription room fire at Oak Knoll Pharmacy on Huntington Drive and Chelsea Road drew San Marino, with Alhambra and South Pasadena firefighters. Scouts assisted, police aided, damage limited to the prescription area. Owner Fred Alen will restock and reopen this week after ordering a full replacement stock.

Many Subjects Discussed at Club Meeting
San Marino City club met at the Grammar school on Tuesday evening with about twenty attendees. Discussions covered city garbage, a talk on Chinese modernism, community chests, boy scouts tree planting, and state senators. A postponed dance was set for next October at the PTA's request. A committee was formed to approach the City Council about tree planting. The Welfare committee note urged funds to cover Boy Scouts cabin insurance debts.
