Memorial for LASD Medical Chief Sander Peck
Sander Peck MD chief medical officer of LASD died Tuesday June 3 from complications after heart surgery at Huntington Memorial Hospital. A memorial celebration will be held June 22 at 11:00 a.m. at the San Marino Center 1800 Huntington Drive San Marino. Peck born Staten Island NY Christmas Day 1935 attended Cornell at 16 then NYU Medical School graduating young at 24. He trained in internal medicine and cardiology at Washington University in St. Louis and UCSF. He served in the US Air Force as flight surgeon attaining Lt. Col. rank and deputy commander of an Air Force hospital. He admired the See DR. PECK page A-6 line.
