San Marino opera fundraiser aims to boost school facilities

The La Scala Lyric Opera Association of Glendale plans four performances of The Chocolate Soldier at San Marino High School to raise funds for refurbishing the district auditorium and Little Theater. President Dallas Buchanan, a 1959 SMHS graduate, estimates net proceeds could reach $36,000 if all seats sell, with the district receiving a share after obligations are paid. Tickets go on sale at the district office.
