Summer play school ends at Huntington with variety program
The San Marin residents attend the closing of the Henry E. Huntington school summer play school. Events begin at 9 a m with novelty races exhibits plays dancing and a music festival. A matinée in the auditorium follows featuring song dramatizations dances a clown play all in the dark and a dance carnival with specialty numbers and readings.

Frank M. Mayo of 1933 Mont Robles Place is attending Citizens Military Training Corps at Camp John P. Pryor Presidio of Monterey. He won the Allen J. Stampa Trophy in 1937 for excellence in infantry cavalry and field artillery and is now a fourth year Blue Corps member and candidate second lieutenant with Company A.

Funeral Services for Joseph Hixon in Pasadena
Funeral services were held Saturday for Joseph Hixon a prominent San Marin an at his home 1050 Arden road with Dr John R Atwill presiding. He died of pneumonia at the local hospital after about a week of illness. He had previously died in Florida three months earlier. He is survived by his mother a sister Mrs Paul M Hunter of Old Mill road three brothers Frank Alexander and Frederick and a daughter Irene 13. Pallbearers included Binnie Tait James Spalding Louis Rowan Robert Benchley Thomas Joyce Morris Miller Wright Luddington and Howland Paddock.
