Civil Defense sirens will be tested Friday at 11 a.m. in San Marino. Residents are warned to expect a noisy alert during the drill and to take note of the official testing schedule.
San Marino Little League All Stars fell to Southwest Pasadena 11-2 on Friday evening ending a decade of victories. George Santoro pitched for San Marino while Pasadena hit a solo homer with a man on base in the playoff. Managers Clint Hufford and Ed Thacher coached the team throughout the week.
Thomas Pike and Dirk C. Eldridge named as co chairmen for Ronald Reagan's gubernatorial campaign in Southern California. Pike, a Los Angeles businessman and former Eisenhower administration official, has chaired Christopher's primary campaign and is a Stanford graduate and Sanford Board of Trustees member. Eldridge is from Palos Verdes.
San Marino Rotarians will hear a luncheon talk today on the Police Reserve program and view a related film. Special guest will be Pasadena Chief of Police Sam Addis. Chairman is Richard Malcolm, city manager and new Rotarian.
