San Marino Council Faces CPR Classes and Library Bond
The San Marino City Council will discuss resident CPR classes in a Friday 7:00 a.m. special session at city hall EOC. Agenda includes June 2004 treasurer investments, voting delegates for the League of California Cities conference, Granada Avenue District 2 inclusion, and Prop 14 library bond update. The panel plans to hear Prop 14 outcomes by September. San Marino seeks 7 million dollars for a new library in the third and final cycle.

Three San Marino girls earn Scouts Gold Award
Seventy Senior Girl Scouts in the Mt Wilson Vista Council received the Gold Award at a June 27 ceremony in Altadena. San Marino residents Sarah Maxwell Joyce Chen and Kelly Zee were honored. The 70 Gold recipients set a council record, representing 14 percent of senior scouts.

Former San Marino High Administrator Faces Felony Charges
Andrea Mitchel former San Marino High School assistant principal surrendered to Pasadena Superior Court on 84 felony counts and 39 misdemeanors tied to death threat letters she allegedly sent to herself. If convicted on all counts she could face 30 years. she pleads not guilty and remains jailed on 480000 bond. A July 27 bail review and August 10 disposition hearing are planned.
