Edward L. Johnson Named Churchman of the Year
Edward L. Johnson, chairman of Financial Federation, Inc., named Churchman of the Year by the Religious Heritage of America. The award will be presented in October at the 32nd annual banquet in Dearborn, Michigan. Johnson is involved in business, religious, charitable and philanthropic work and holds multiple boards roles including City of Hope, Goodwill Industries, Pepperdine University, Salvation Army, Campus Crusade, Moody Bible Institute of Science, Christianity Today, World Wide Pictures, and Pasadena's Lake Avenue Congregational Church. He joined Financial Federation in 1959 after a long savings and loan career in Chicago, and remains its board chairman. He and his wife Joyce live on Chaucer Road with four children and five grandchildren.
