San Marino High School stages Story Theater by Paul Sills this month in the Little Theater. Twenty actors directed by Mrs. Bennett Wright perform Grimm and Aesop works in three shows, July 21 matinee and evening plus July 30 night. Tickets $1.50 at door. proceeds to Thespian Society.

Pool buzz as summer lessons fill up at San Marino facility
Under Burt Kanner and Scott MacFarland the Red Cross swim program runs daily with classes led by Gretchen Weber and Gretchen Weber coaching eleven divers. The fourth session sign up is Friday July 30 from 10 am to 12 noon. The Watts Summer Games divers won seconds and thirds and the County Regional Diving Meet is set for August 13 in Commerce. The Beginnings Competitive Swim Team has 50 members and beat Baldwin Park 258 166 last week and Sierra Madre as well. Water polo includes a girls team with 14 players and the high school league at Whittier College. Openings remain for all sessions and information is available at the Recreation Office.
