Ana Paula Martinez, a San Marino High School graduate bound for Loyola Marymount, wrote the winning theme San Marino Sparkles With Pride for Lacy Park’s 2003 Independence Day celebration. City sponsors pulled out big entertainment, with country act Christian Simmons & Broken Arrow delivering a long, lively show for six hours of park fun.
