Venice II Grad Party Raises About $38,000 For Local School District
More than 475 San Marinans and friends attended the third annual Venice II benefit on Saturday June 22 raising about $36,000 for the district. Ten percent goes to San Marino High School with the rest to San Marino Schools Foundation. The event featured a Maserati grand prize, a $25,000 cash option, a Silent Auction with over 110 items, and big prizes from 21 to roulette. The Goodreans chose the Maserati over cash after a week of suspense, and a large volunteer committee organized the Italian themed fundraiser with hors d oeuvres and prizes including vacations, dinners, jewelry, and sports gear.
