July 4th Festivities Schedule in San Marino
The July 4 1999 festivities begin at 6 30 am with Lacy Park opening for families who should reserve space. Food stands run by the San Marino Fire Department and Girl Scouts open at noon. A 4 30 pm parade forms and starts at Huntington Drive and Monterey Road.

Huntington Library to Loan Nuremberg Document and Mein Kampf
The Huntington Library will loan the original Nuremberg Laws bearing Hitler’s signature and a deluxe edition of Mein Kampf to the Skirball Cultural Center for an indefinite period. The items, dated September 15, 1935, were presented to General Patton and later donated to Huntington.

San Marino Leads in SAT-9 Scores Across Subjects
San Marino students posted gains in all six SAT-9 subjects including reading math language science social studies and spelling with scores around the 80th percentile nationwide and the highest in the Pasadena area. Nearby districts lagged, with South Pasadena and Arcadia near the 70th percentile and Alhambra Pasadena Unified near the 50th percentile. In San Marino High tenth and eleventh graders reached math percentiles of 92 and 93 the top marks in the district.
