Bixby Promises Greatest California State Fair in History
Fred H. Bixby of Long Beach, Fair board president, declares the California State Fair in Sacramento, September 2 to 12, will be the greatest in history. Southwestern Cadets Attend 13 Day California Encampment
Four cadets from Southwestern Military Academy San Marino have completed basic orientation and will train in marksmanship and leadership at the California Cadet Corps encampment at Camp San Luis Obispo. Rock Crusher Protested By Sunny Slope Homeowners
More than 200 residents of the Sunny Slope area in the San Marino School district plan to appear before the Regional Planning Commission on Thursday July 8 at 2 p m to oppose continuing the rock crusher on 1172 La Presa drive. The protest seeks revocation of the permit for a public nuisance and health menace after a prior hearing was voided by a notice technicality.
