New Church Organized Formally in San Marino
San Marino Community Presbyterian Church received its charter after months of preparation. More than 100 attendees heard Rev. Henry Sears Thomson of the Los Angeles Presbytery, who chaired the service at Southwestern Military Academy. About 75 joined the church and several children were baptised. Officers ordained include Elders Dr. Douglas Wright Jr. and others, Deacons and Trustees named, with ongoing services at the Academy Sundays at 9 45.

Burglar Checks North City Home of B C Reynolds
A burglar used a similar method to past cases to break into the home of B C Reynolds at 1300 Garfield Avenue on Sunday evening. Mrs Reynolds was out from 6 30 to 9 15 and returned to find the house burglarized though nothing was missing. Entry was gained by punching a hole in a screen.

Board Awards Gas Contract To Standard Oil
At the San Marino Board of Education meeting the yearly gas contract for school buses was awarded to Standard Oil Company at 0.0873 per gallon for standard gasoline. Five citizens urged hiring a school doctor for routine physicals, a decision likely after further study. Girl Scouts gained use of the kindergarten room in the afternoon for Brownie meetings due to space needs.
