Eighth graders at Huntington School plan a Friday Happening at 7 30 p m with a movie in the auditorium followed by music and refreshments. A committee led by the homeroom presidents and vice principal Chester Gilgen prepared tickets decorations and menu while the PTA chair secured No Way to Treat a Lady starring Rod Steiger as the scary mystery. If praised the format may replace the Spring Dance in April.

Burglar Steals Mink Coats From Winston Home
Mrs. Albert F. Stelhorn of Winston Avenue reported a burglary Saturday at her residence. A thief entered through an unlocked sliding door after prying a front screen and found the window locked. Eight Arrested At Park Sunday
Eight youths were arrested Sunday at Lacy Park on alcohol and marijuana charges. Six juveniles, all 17, were released to parents for possession of alcoholic beverages. four from Montebello and two from Monterey Park. A 19-year-old Monterey Park man, John Howard Jesse, was jailed on suspicion of alcohol possession, and 24-year-old Gary C. Figg of Monterey Park was held for marijuana possession with bail set at 1000.

Funeral services for Henry W. Valentine 56 son of former San Marino mayor William Lucas Valentine were held at Church of Our Saviour in San Gabriel. He died after a long illness at Las Encinos Hospital in Pasadena and was a founder of Motor Truck Distributors of Los Angeles. He leaves a wife three daughters two stepsons and a sister.

Police Arrest Pair in Burglary and Theft Case
Brenda Carol Weatherly and Jerry Lee Carter were arrested in Pasadena on burglary and receiving stolen property charges after a resident reported a doorbell rang and the pair fled. Weatherly, 19, and Carter, 28, both Las Vegas residents, were booked at Pasadena Jail. An out-of-state license plate aided the capture. Detectives Canning and Magiera found several items in the car believed stolen.
