Dan Stover Music Contest Draws Local Students and Alumni
San Marino Community Church hosted the Rotary Dan Stover Music Contest with about sixty attendees. San Marino High School student Ou won with Chopin, followed by Elliot Steinwedell of Southwestern Academy and Jae Youn Chung of Southwestern Academy in a regional, anonymously judged event. Former winner Kenneth Veronda served as MC and teased his own singing, while Rotarians funded a prize fund that exceeded the initial five dollars.

The San Marino High School PTSA launched its Grad Night 2007 effort with a January 20 cocktail party at Greg and Lorrie Forgatchs home. Parents and volunteers are invited to paint wall panels each Wednesday and Saturday at Wells Fargo bank garage second floor, with no experience needed. The event, themed Bond, James Bond, follows the senior graduation ceremony and gives the class one last night together.
