Teams Named For Community Chest Drive
The City Club backs the San Marino Community Council proteam for the Pasadena Community Chest drive starting February 10 and ending February 15. San Marino is urged to aid for unfortun ate and dependent children and sick residents in the adjoining area. San Marino is allotted $1,000 for welfare and youth work this year. One third of San Marino’s northwest section gave $2,600 to a South Pasadena chest. the rest of the city is expected to follow Pasadena Chest. Mrs Edward P McMurtry of San Marino is chairman of the drive and split San Marino into six districts, appointing Jyde Hurley as mayor who named six captains, each to pick six lieutenants. Captains for 1930 drive include Team 246 A and Team 246 B with defined boundaries and leaders.

Lively City Club Session Opens New Regime and Welcome
President Lawrence B. Gibbs opened the Tuesday night meeting with 67 members and guests. Crowell Wins Pasadena Club Championship in Wet Final
Bill Crowell of San Marino defeats Tad Schiffmann 11 and 10 in a 36 hole final to capture the Pasadena Golf Club championship. Crowell posted par 70 and 72 while Schiffmann shot 77 and 76. this is Crowell’s first club title and he is praised by club mates and friends.
